Perera & Sons, Sri Lanka’s foremost baker and caterer, has announced their first foray into Esports with 2 events for mobile gamers. The “P&S PUBG Mobile Series” will feature PUBG Mobile as it’s stand-alone event with Rs. 100,000 in prize money going out to the top 8 placements of the event. In addition, the “P&S Mobile Contenders” event will feature Free Fire (squad based battle-royale) and Call of Duty Mobile (Multiplayer) with a prize pool of Rs. 50,000 split between the two.

Perera & Sons, founded in 1902, celebrated their 118th year providing meals for Sri Lankans across the island. P&S has modernised their offerings recently with their web-store for online purchasing, partnering with food delivery networks such as Pickme & Uber Eats and catering to a younger consumer with their product offerings.

Perera & Sons has partnered with Gamer.LK to take their brand to todays youth and young adults who are engaged heavily in Esports.

The Women’s Cyber Games Championship ’20: Online marked its conclusion after a month-long battle across 15 gaming titles. The Championship was most talked about thanks to the exciting matches and close finishes, showcasing the talents and skill of the female Esports athletes in Sri Lanka.

Noob Alliance eventually secured the Championship while Phoenix Gaming placed 2nd and Tech Morph placed 3rd. Noob Alliance continues their winning streak in the Sri Lankan Esports scene as they were also the Champions of the Online Esports Showdown organised by Gamer.LK in May 2020. Wolfgang Esports placed 4th while Maximum Esports came in 5th.

The Women’s Cyber Games ‘20 Online showcased Sri Lanka’s first online Mario Kart Tour tournament which saw Shenelle ‘Savage_Girl’ Moses from Noob Alliance emerge victorious after defeating her rivals. The tournament was held in a 1v1 format with close matches between the participants. The finals saw two ladies from Noob Alliance facing off against each other with nA Savage_Girl eventually beating her opponent Imanthi ‘nA Tressy’ Jayakody to be the champion. Dilki ‘queendee’ Punchihewa came in third.
