The grand finals of the Women’s Cyber Games ‘20 Online Real Cricket championship, a new title that was introduced at this tournament, saw Kaumini ‘PnX PiK4CHU’ Gunasinghe provide a close contest against her opponent Himasha ‘nA HiMA’ Perera. The two players took on each other across 2 overs which eventually resulted in PnX PiK4CHU becoming the Real Cricket Champion of the Women’s Cyber Games ‘20 Online championship with Himasha ‘HiMA’ Perera from Noob Alliance and Nadeeshani ‘FoXy’ Jayasinghe coming in second and third respectively..

The Women’s Cyber Games Counter-Strike:GO 1v1 Finals took place on the 11th of June between nA – MeduZa and TM – Tyche. TM – Tyche beat nA – HIMA and PnX – PIK4CHU in the loser bracket to qualify for the finals.

Playing against nA – MeduZa, TM – Tyche beat her 5 for 16 to win the Counter-Strike: GO 1v1 Title.

Women’s Clash Royale title goes to PnX – imi, with Nyteshade and TM -Valerie coming in at 2nd and 3rd place

The Women’s Cyber Games Clash Royale 1v1 Finals happened between PnX – imi and NyteShade. PnX – imi made her way to the final after beating TM – Valerie in the loser bracket while Nyteshade remained unbeaten throughout the tournament.

PnX – imi convincingly beat NyteShade with a score of 2 matches to 0 in the final to take the title. It is interesting to note that PnX – imi and NyteShade had stopped playing Clash Royale some time ago and started playing it once again just to take part in the Womens Cyber Games tournament.

NoobOneechan beats nA – Easterbunny to take the Women’s League of Legends Title, PnX – Havi placed 3rd

NoobOneechan beats nA – Easterbunny to take the Women’s League of Legends Title, PnX – Havi placed 3rd

The Women’s League of Legends finals concluded on the 13th of June between nA – EasterBunny and NoobOneechan. After beating PnX – Havi in the lower bracket final, NoobOneechan qualified for the finals to play with nA – EasterBunny.

NoobOneechan was able to beat nA – EasterBunny, who had a dominant run in the tournament and was the favorite to win. NoobOneechan secured the title beating her opponent 2 matches to 1.

Further to Gamer.LK’s investigation of nA.Cherry’s performance during the DOTA 2 1v1 event (details here: https://gamer.lk/news/womens-cyber-games-20-investigations) Gamer.LK provided the player time to provide further proof of her performance. She was unable to do so, and therefore has been banned from Gamer.LK tournaments for a period of 1 year.

 

TM.Phanta

TM.Phanta has been banned from Gamer.LK tournaments for a period of 1 year and 3 months, broken down as follows:

  • Disrupting a tournament: 3 months
  • Impersonating a referee: 1 year

Based on IP matches provided by Tech Morph, Gamer.LK was able to confirm that TM.Phanta was the person who disrupted the tournament, and thereafter confessed to Gamer.LK during questioning. Gamer.LK was also able to match IPs and confirm that he had further impersonated a Gamer.LK referee during his disruption of the tournament.

 

This is the 4th instance in Sri Lankan Esports that players have received bans for sharing accounts, and also the 3rd instance players have been banned for disrupting a tournament. Gamer.LK takes the integrity of tournaments organised for the Sri Lankan Esports community very seriously, whether it’s account sharing or behaviour that disrupts events. We strive to protect Sri Lankan Esports athletes against disruptive elements in the community and will take necessary steps to grow a healthy and positive competitive scene in Sri Lanka.
