The most popular streamers of May

In May, the ranks of some of the well-known users have gone through a slight readjustment. This has happened due to a number of reasons – such as the sudden announcement of the classic World of Warcraft version beta testing. As a result, this has allowed two of the most popular streamers of the respective section to enter the top 5 most popular streamers of the platform. The breakthrough of dota2ruhub can also be noted, but we will talk about this in another article.

Drake for starters has become a part owner of the 100 Thieves esports franchise which was founded by famous Call of Duty wiz Matt Haag.

Last March for example he and eSports star Tyler Blevins did a live stream on twitch which set a viewership record hitting over 628,000 fans watching at once.

100 Thieves is a two-year old company, but clearly Haag sees the potential for explosive growth saying, “with Drake and Scooter’s support, we’re going to build a lasting brand on the back of the content and merch that our fans have come to love, aggressively expand into more games, scale our apparel business, and build a world-class management team.”

FACEIT Announces FACEIT Pro Series: Apex Legends Tournament

FACEIT Announces FACEIT Pro Series: Apex Legends Tournament

FACEIT has announced their new FACEIT Pro Series: Apex Legends tournament, the game’s first officially-licensed esports event. 16 teams will compete for a $50,000 prize pool over eight events beginning May 31.

Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has struggled to build momentum for its esports scene, but this new FACEIT Pro Series gives the battle royale’s top players the chance to prove themselves and display what would separate Apex from other established esports titles.

Electronic Arts has given FACEIT their first officially-licensed esports tournament for good reason. Not only did FACEIT host the $25,000 Apex Legends Invitational with T1 Esports in late March, but they are also responsible for some of the biggest esports events in recent memory, including last year’s CS:GO London Major. As a proven esports tournament organizer, their reputation should bring some clout to Apex’s emerging scene.
