The Sri Lanka Esports Association has imposed bans on players who were caught sharing game accounts illegally during ranked tournaments. As such, 5 players who were found sharing game accounts during the ‘Gamerfest 2019’ – Mobile Legends Bang Bang online tournament in January have been penalised while two players who were found to be sharing game accounts during the SLCG 2020 Overwatch online tournament in March along with 6 others in his team who failed to report such activity have been penalised. 

As such, the following players from the Gamerfest 2019 tournament, receive a 12 month tournament ban.

Team members: 

Shehan Dilusanka(҂Pandaᶜᵏ࿐) : 1 year ban
Sachini Navodya  (꧁༒ʀᴇᴅ༒꧂) : 1 year ban
Lahiru Sandaruwan (꧁ɖʀɛǟʍɛʀ꧂) : 1 year ban
Ravin Kesara  (《 RaVa 》) : 1 year ban

Team name: PnX|HYPER REBORN

Team members: 

Sithija Sandaruwan (Rê ß ð_Ö †) : 1 year ban
Kusal Savinda  (Kusal sl) : 1 year ban
Vidushan Chamoda  (ꦿpѕчchσ࿐) : 1 year ban
Sadul Rathsara (ᴳᴼᵂ|Sαsukє) : 1 year ban

In addition, the following players from SLCG 2020 Overwatch have received bans accordingly.

Team name: PnX – Noobs United

Team members: 

Nisal Nawaratne (Neanea) : 1 year ban
Sampath Widushan (SukiriBole) : 1 year ban

Kalana Jayasuriya (RAPTOR) : 6 months ban
W. Deshan Thathsara Thilakaratna (DemiGOD) : 6 months ban
Godson Avishka David (GodSlayer) : 6 months ban
Kavindee Kariyawasam (VINKY) : 6 months ban
Chelaka Ilapperuma (wolfx) : 6 months ban
Shanilka Amarasinghe (Hyperion) : 6 months ban 

These players are now banned from taking part in any tournaments organised by the Sri Lanka Esports Association or Gamer.LK. 

We do not condone such behavior and remind all Esports athletes to uphold the highest standards in their conduct to avoid such instances in the future.
