The governing body for Esports in Sri Lanka – the Sri Lanka Esports Association – appointed a new board last Sunday at the SLESA Annual General Meeting. The Executive Committee is as follows:
President – Raveen Wijayatilake
CEO of Gamer.LK and founding President of the Sri Lanka Esports Association. Raveen has 14 years of experience in building the Esports movement in Sri Lanka, and has taken Sri Lankan Esports global through his company InGame Entertainment PVT LTD.
Vice President – Malinda Jayasekera
Involved in Esports since 2008, Malinda is an IT professional who was a leading Esports athlete before making his way to the management and organisation of Esports activities through Gamer.LK. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Association and its function and has served previously as the elected Secretary.
Secretary – Ramesh Liyanage
A passionate tech enthusiast by nature with experience in the IT and Esports industry from 2007. Director of InGame Entertainment (Gamer.LK) – the pioneer Sri Lankan Esports company which brings world-class Esports experiences to gamers in Sri Lanka as well as the South Asian region.
Assistant Secretary – Safwan Mansoor
Director of Phoenix GaminG, Director of CeeBee Global Ventures, Founder/Director of TecRoot and Former Media Secretary of Sri Lanka Esports Association. Apart from being an Entrepreneur and an ERP/Business System Consultant, Safwan has more than 10 years of experience in the field of Esports. He has been an Esport Athlete, won few national awards, represented Sri Lanka as a Coach and contributed towards building Esports in the country.
Treasurer – Vikum Jayasekera
An Esports entrepreneur with 13 years of experience in the Esports ecosystem. Passionate in making Esports the #1 sport in Sri Lanka. A director of InGame Entertainment PVT LTD – a Esports company based in Sri Lanka. Elected treasurer for the Sri Lanka Esports Association several times previously.
Media Secretary – Prageeth Savinda
An experienced leader & key figure in Sri Lankan Esports, and a Computer Engineering Undergraduate at the University of Peradeniya. Prageeth directs Esports in Sri Lanka through Noob Alliance, one of the top Esports organisations in the country that is currently making its mark in South Asia.
Assistant Media Secretary – Shihan Morais
An experienced eCommerce professional in the fields of Marketing and e-Business and for Esports from 2008. Managing Director for Maximum Esports one of the leading Esports organisations in Sri Lanka.
Clan Committee Chairperson – Isuru Herath
Isuru has been an Esports athlete since 2008 and has won several major gaming titles in Sri Lanka. Over his tenure he has captained his team to many title wins and went on to represent Sri Lanka in International tournaments. Currently, he operates as the administrator of a leading gaming organisation in Sri Lanka named Tech Morph.
Along with the Executive Committee, Dinuka Rathnayake was appointed as an independent member leading the Disciplinary Committee.

Dinuka has over a decade of experience in the Esports industry with a wide range of skills and roles that has been demonstrated through the strong industry relationships he has built over the years. He has supported SLESA and its initiatives since its inception and is currently working towards forging a new foundation for Esports in the Middle East.
I’d like to thank the members, Sri Lanka’s Esports clans and the community for once again placing their confidence in me to lead the Sri Lanka Esports Association. With Esports being one of the fastest growing sports in Sri Lanka today, I’m glad the senior stakeholders have come together in the form of this diverse Executive Committee to establish a strong base from which Sri Lankan Esports can transform into a global force. Our goal is to take Sri Lankan Esports to #1 in the next 5 years.
