What is Esports?
Esports is short for electronic sports. It is basically a sports branch. Esports has all the elements of traditional sports such as competition, tactics and strategies, mental aspect, tournaments, TV (stream) coverage, prize money and so forth. Just like traditional sports have different disciplines, Esports have different video games. Let’s say that each game represents a different Esports discipline. In laymen terms, the National Football League (NFL) is a sports league, just like the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) is an esports league. Football is a sport, and League of Legends is a game in esports.
Moreover, professional esports players are those who had been playing video games and decided to turn pro and put their effort into mastering the game skills.
