Statement from Yuki – B2R

This was the first time a full Sri Lankan roster has ever reached the global stage. To achieve that final slot we played scrims and hours of practice sessions, however our team is not playing this game full time since we are students – 3 in college and 1 still schooling. We have limited hours to practice and are going head to head with teams playing full time and making a living out of the game.

We couldn’t live up to our fans and our expectations, because we went into the finals expecting to bring the trophy and accomplish the biggest achievement for Sri Lankan Esports. However, we tried our best and placed #8 from the whole world which we are very proud of and this is the first time a full Sri Lankan PUBGM roster has ever done this. This wouldn’t have been possible without the support our Sri Lankan’s gave us in the live chat and the major support from Wolfgang e-Sports, that did their best in order for us to win this tournament.

Statement from Dila – LND

First of all I want to thank the Red Bull management for giving us this opportunity and all the Sri Lankans who supported us till the very end. It was the first time that 2 Sri Lankan squads reached a global stage, and it was a huge and a challenging experience. Special thanks goes to our MAX e-Sports management as well those who encouraged us. We hope that more Sri Lankan squads get the chance to compete on an international level in order to bring Sri Lanka to the top.
