The Real Cricket 20 grand finals of the Women’s Cyber Games 2021 took place last Wednesday (April 22nd), and saw Kaumini “PiK4CHU” Gunasinghe take on Nishanthi “niku” Kumari for the 1st place title. Match 1 of the BO3 went the way of PiK4CHU, where she put up an impressive 26 runs in the 1st innings (2 overs). Although niku managed 4 wickets against her opponent in the 1st innings, PiK4CHU’s superior bowling in the 2nd innings secured her match 1 victory, with niku only managing 8 runs.

Match 2 started with niku up to bat, and played out similarly to match 1, with PiK4CHU bowling consistent dot balls, allowing niku to only score 9 runs. In the 2nd innings niku showed promise of a comeback, even managing the 1st wicket by the 2nd ball. However, with 2 amazing back to back boundary shots PiK4CHU closed off the 2nd match, crowning her the champion.
