- Second consecutive win for Zegg at Logitech G Play to Win Valorant Tournament
- x3-Outplay placed 2nd, with WG- Team GunSlingerS coming in 3rd
With the Second season of the Logitech G Play to Win Valorant Tournament concluding on March 7th, Zegg E-Sports were once again crowned Champions, making them back to back victors of the Logitech G Play to Win Valorant Series. The former CS:GO roster got their first win back in November 2020 during Season 1, where they played under the name of Sal Mal Gas and won the Season One Grand Finals against D3ad Silence Xperts 2 – 0. Last season they also faced off against x3-Outplay in the Semi Finals making the Grand Final of Season Two an opportunity for a rematch for x3-Outplay.
During the Tournament both teams put up excellent runs against all their opponents, with this Season being particularly challenging due to the record-breaking number of 71 teams participating in the event, with over 65 matches taking place. At the Grand Finals both teams fought hard with x3-Outplay leading in the first half of Map 1 (Split) 9 – 3. However, Zegg E-Sports made a major comeback in the second half, ending Map 1 with a 13 – 11 score line and closing off Map 2 (Haven) with a shocking score of 13 – 1, spoiling x3-Outplay’s chance at redemption this season.
