The grand finals of the League of Legends 1v1 tournament for the Women’s Cyber Games 2021 took place on the 20th of April. At the Finals, Sajitha “Purplecat” Samarakoon took on the 2020 runner-up of the Women’s Cyber Games LOL 1v1- Nuwangi “Easterbunnie” Randombage.
Match 1 (Champion – Ahri) of the BO3 seemed to be going the way of Easterbunnie during the first and latter half of the match. However, when Easterbunnie had reached 99 CS (creep score), just 1 away from securing her match 1 victory, Purplecat mounted a breathtaking comeback. At the last moment as Easterbunnie went in for the final CS, Purplecat managed to get the kill on her, which secured the 1st match. Match 2 (Champion – Malzahar) also went the way of Purplecat, where she managed to lock in a steady CS lead over Easterbunnie. Which in the end, resulted in her reaching the 100 CS needed for her to win the 2nd match and the entire tournament.
