The 3rd Season of the Logitech G Play to Win Valorant Series concluded on the 27th of June, and was packed with some incredible matches. Unlike previous seasons, this time the tournament was split into 2 divisions (Division A & B). Division B had a prize pool of Rs. 30,000 and was where the majority of the teams played for a chance to win part of the prize pool and a shot at qualifying for Division A. In Division A, the top 4 Valorant teams in the country took on the top 4 teams of Division B for a shot at the biggest Valorant prize pool yet of Rs. 100,000.
This season of the Play to Win Series also had the highest number of registered teams by far, with 500+ players across over 90 teams for Division B. However, only the top 4 teams were able to move on to Division A, after fighting their way through over 80 matches. WG – Mist’ Walkers were crowned champions of Division B after their victory over Team NyX. While Ninjas In Sarongs took 3rd place, beating out WG – PURPLE OVERKILL. These 4 teams then moved on to the next Division.
In Division A, these teams faced off against some of the best Valorant teams in Sri Lanka such as; UG – ZeGG eSports, WG – Team GunSlingerS, M-eS – DEAD SILENCE EXPERTs and M-eS – Revolutionary Gamers. With higher stakes than Division B, all the teams gave their best effort to make it to the end. The grand finals of the series was a matchup between the #1 and #2 best teams in the country – Team GunSlingerS and ZeGG eSports. As this was a ranked tournament as well, both teams fought hard to claim the title of best team in the country. However, the then #2 best team, ZeGG eSports came out victorious and reclaimed the #1 spot in the country.
