with right conditions and servicing a second hand PC can service more than 5 years, even without a swapping a single component. there are lot of them i sold still working even after 5 years, But the the owners take care of them like babies. most of the re  brought a core 2 duo or quad coz Pentium 4

I've been reading this thread for some time, trying to make sense.

First the facts - at 720 p your 7730 should be comfortably work above 30fps at LOW QUALITY

Toms Hardware ran a benchmark on Low-end GPU and Battlefield 4

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r7-240-and-250,3717-7.html

at 1680x1050 the avg is well above 30 fps (41 fps )

They too used an i5(albeit overclocked) and 8 GB of RAM

Hopefully if your net is'nt shoddy

Since that proves their is no Hardware issue, the only problem is the Battlefield 4 servers, they are prone to Rubber-banding and lag spike, specifically in 24 + player severs. Recently they did a mega - upgrade on their servers and now CLAIM such issues are over.

First try the beta. Then if you occur any problems uninstall and download the latest catalyst driver.

For AMD, stick to non-Beta if possible since the latest drivers are meant for R7 and R9 series.

However regarding this issue about lag, I can confirm that I too have it. My friends have it, and every one in Sri Lanka would have probably come across it.

Once again I would like to remind you that all servers in BF4 have / had the lag issues. I also would like to know whether, you also have bad hit detection, and 1 shot deaths from enemies , then the issue is definitely server side. Something I came across, is that German and UK servers while their ping is high(150+) has no such lag spikes occurring frequently

Battlefield 3 is pretty much stable compared to Battlefield 4, and also their server resources and specifications are different. Therefore comparing your experience in BF3 to BF4 is of no use.

Good Luck and Don't worry

I did a few things which were pretty popular online: 1)i unparked my cpu cores, 2)i uninstalled and freshly installed the 14.4 latest stable amd driver

I tried both mantle and directx and mantle gave me  higher fps. So im sticking with mantle. But the issue is the fps fluctuated from 15 to 90 :(    (in low settings). The gameplay gets extremely choppy in low fps. Pls tell me a fix

played the campaign and below are some screenshots.

audio and video = 10
as expected nothing good in the story so its a 4 and the single player campaign ends rather short. but  this is a game targeting the MP aspects rather than the single player so i guess we have to live with it.
i7 4770, EVGA GTX 970, 2Gb*4 DDR3 ram, Creative X-fi fatality champion pro sound card, MSI H87-G43, WD 1TB HD, OCZ agility3 90Gb SSD, OCZ Arc 100 240gb SSD, cooler master elite 430 enclosure, Logitech Z5500 sound system, Samsung TOC 24" LCD,Corsair STRAFE RGB MX RED key board, Logitec G502 protius core mouse.

ok i did  second run to test 2880*1620 where all VGA settings are maxed out in the game. the FPS kept above 30 mark about 96% of the time and that's impressive.

one more thing.. the most enjoyable moment for me was how the mission before the last one ended. it was a total surprise how the 3 were picked up and i have never seen that kinda maneuver in a game.
