Red Bull River Runes – Sri Lanka

An arcade Dota 2 game which presents the players in real time with
innumerable chances and opportunities to have fun and be highly competitive.

RULES & FORMAT

1. Tournament Format: 1vs1, Single Elimination.

2. Server: Singapore

3. Game Format:

  • Best of 1 – Random Hero should be picked by both players. Only one of the two heroes picked will come in the draft with a 50-50% chance of being either hero.
  • Best of 3 – Players are free to pick any hero apart from the banned heroes.
  • Best of 5 – Players are free to pick any hero apart from the banned heroes.

4. Game Mode: 1v1 Solo Mid (The one who destroys the opponent’s first tower or gets 2 kills will be the winner).

5. Hero’s Banned: Bane | Chen | Earthshaker | Enchantress | IO | Omniknight | Tinker | Treant | Underlord | Wraith King

6. Items Banned: Aeon Disk | Dagon | Infused Raindrop | Hand of Midas | Nullifier | Soul Ring

7. The following actions are not allowed:

  • Jungling
  • Roshan
  • Activating Shrines
  • Blocking the creeps or changing their direction (e.g. Fissure)

8. Red Bull R1v1r Runes Rules:

  • Every hero starts with a Blink Dagger, Bottle, Observer Ward, and a courier.
  • Every hero starts off at Level 6.
  • Runes will spawn randomly every minute.
  • Random items are given to the hero at the every 5 minute mark.
  • Divine Rapiers are dropped three units away from the tower in the 15th minute.

9. Gameplay Rules:

  • Players must use the same name they submitted when registering as their ingame name. A player ’s name, icon, profile picture or logo may not contain any of the following: profanities, obscene language, gang affiliation, drugs, sexual material, offensive material, slander of Red Bull, Gamer.LK, Sri Lanka Telecom, Colombo City Centre or it’s administration, partners or sponsors.
  • Match lobbies will be created by the Tournament Staff at the venue and only they will be authorised to start a match.
  • Player must start the match immediately after setting up their peripherals and logging into the Steam Client. There is no warmup time provided.
  • incase of an issue (eg: game assets not loading) players may bring it to the attention of the Tournament Staff BEFORE first blood or the two minute mark. Tournament Staff then may decide to restart the game. New heroes should be picked.
  • If a player crashes, server crashes, network fails or any other instance of a disruption of the game, the game must be replayed from the start with new heroes being picked.
  • Forcing a game to restart manually (eg: leaving the game without telling a Tournament Staff member, manually restarting PC to fake a crash, etc) will be grounds for immediate disqualification of the player.
  • Coaches are not allowed to be present or communicate with the player after the game starts.
  • Personal streaming is not allowed.

10. Penalties and Abuses:

  • Bug usage is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate disqualification without a prior warning.
  • Usage of any scripts are not allowed.
  • Installing, attempting to install or usage of any third-party addons, hooks, programs or wrappers that interact with or alter the DOTA 2 client, its appearance or behaviour for the purposes of gaining an unfair advantage is prohibited.
  • Impersonating an eligible player by attempting to alias as them, using their Steam account or by any other method is prohibited and will result in the aliasing player and the player they are aliasing as being removed from the tournament.

11. Player and Spectator Conduct:

  • No USB storage devices should be plugged into any of the Tournament PCs under any circumstance.
  • Players are strictly forbidden from eating or smoking in the match area or near any PCs.
  • Smoking or vaping is strictly forbidden.
  • Players are not allowed to bring any electronic devices, cameras or similar devices into the gaming area unless prior permission is given by the Tournament Staff.
  • All mobile telephones must be SWITCHED OFF and should not be used during the duration of a match after it commences.
  • Exaggerated loud noise and offensive language are forbidden.
  • Swearing or any kind of hostility, racist or any sort of abuse verbal or physical towards another player, staff or spectator is strictly prohibited. This includes chat messages in-game, verbal exchanges, etc.
  • Players are strictly prohibited to be under the influence of alcohol or other psychoactive drugs in the match area.
  • In the event of intentional or accidental damages to hardware/property, the person/s responsible is expected to pay the damages.
  • Any attempt to make hardware changes (e.g. unplugging of peripherals without proper consent from the match referees, etc.) and software changes to the computers will be considered as damage to property.
  • We encourage everyone to immediately report any sign of harassment, both to yourself or if you witness it happening to someone else.
  • Any detection of match fixing or betting will lead to immediate disqualification of the player and subsequent penalties in Gamer.LK events in the future.
  • Spectators shall at all times respect Tournament Staff and players and extend all courtesies to them.
  • Any signs, banners, shirts, noisemakers, etc. deemed inflammatory by the Tournament Staff, or that are in violation of venue policies, will be removed.
  • All players and spectators are required to uphold the highest standards of fair play and sportsmanship.

12. Liabilities & Disclaimer:

  • No person/s shall hold the Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners liable in any manner whatsoever for any circumstance or situation arising from or at any of our events including but not limited to acts beyond its control, including without limitation, acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, terrorist activities or national emergency, accident, fire, lightning, riot, civil commotion, explosions, strikes, lockouts, industrial disputes or epidemics.
  • The Organizers, Gamer.LK Staff (Gamer.LK, InGame Entertainment), Referees, Sponsors and Partners will not be responsible for:
    • any loss of hardware peripherals, personal belongings (including but not limited to mobile telephones, laptops, hard disks, pen drives) and/or liveware,
    • telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures
    • any contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the Organizer’s/Gamer.LK’s control.
