So G.E.T v1 is over and we all had a blast! Congratulations to Death Company for showing off their all-round gaming skills and clinching the win, and props to those teams that took part in a tournament that was different from what we're used to. We organised this first version of G.E.T to test the waters for how the community would react to a new format, giving priority to the fun side as opposed to the serious competitive nature tournaments usually have. We learnt a lot from this experience, and are very happy with the outcome of the project. The teams that attended had fun, and after all, that was the point of the entire tournament!

We have pin pointed a couple of areas that we can improve on, and a few tweaks to the format that are needed - and possibly a few casual game-selection changes. Now that we have got the testing out of the way ... next time we'll be sure to bring you a bigger and better G.E.T with improved format, fun and prizes!

A big thank you to R_L and [email protected] for setting up and refereeing the Counter Strike matches - Undeadly for setting up and refereeing the one DOTA match () - dirkblack for sticking by us and having our back throughout - Gladi and Munky for handling consoles and making it a fun event in general. Thanks goes out to the teams that took part and gave this new format a go - and significant number of you who came to watch the on-going lulz - you guys are what makes these mini-tournaments possible . Ground Zero and Joson did a splendid job coordinating with us and helping us get this event off the ground, both with planning and on-site preparation - thank you to them as well.

We look forward to bringing you more of these in the future. Await announcements about the next LAN organised by GLK (Sept 25th/26th - Oct 1st, 2nd, 3rd - guess what it is?).
