shoutcaster hate PeRks :(  (N)

To be honest from the shoutcaster's point of view Perks were the only team started complaining about it thus it may have disappointed them a bit.

Anyways we came one step closer to International standards with shoutcasting this time. It is how it happens when things get big, the spectator's noise, the shoutcasting, the cheers and etc. they all add up and players have to enjoy their best on stage. Competitive E-sports in Sri Lankan arenas won't just be quiet from here on. There will be hundreds of spectators cheering every single frag, there will be shoutcasters yelling the hell out of their selves with excitement, there will be music, there will be sick lighting and who knows... there even might be fire sprays when you win your match or to let everyone know that you are there. ;)

ehh it isnt a complain....
if u was there.. u should have seen d time when toxin got flashed n d shoutcaster saying he got flashed :S.. its a big advantage for other team..
there were sometimes when d shoutcaster was shouting too much n got us some issues hearing d game sounds :p
bt it was fun 2 have d shoutcaster... GJ dirk n others  (Y)

No its the nature of spectators to cheer the underdog. Shoutcasters were supporting the opposing team in Liquid and PeRks matches. I saw Rav looking around for people to cheer liquid when RD was rampaging. When liquid started turning the game around cheering stopped.

Funny thing was PeRks cheering Liquid during semis. One pro team to another. Guess thats the spirit of Esports in SL.

Faiz was superb as ever. GG Liquid for wining yet again.

yah i didnt notice any shoutcaster shouting when we were wining :p

I must say Xearon(not sure if it's him, I'm talking about the guy who Wasim said caught his hair on fire) was very helpful with the computer problems.

Overall the feedback has been great - better than last year, which means a lot to us.

Prizes were a sad let down. For a tournament that charges Rs.300 there should have been better prizes than a subscription for Gamer magazine.  But it seems organizers were focusing on CS as the official game title.

.Prizes sux big time for cod4 *sigh

Like I've explained in another thread, we concentrate on making the event as fun as possible, and give lower priority for prizes. We only give out cash prizes if there's a profit left over after we're satisfied with what we've put into the tournament. That wasn't the case this time, so cash prizes were out of the question. Also, we try not to announce cash prizes and not deliver later :P

No its the nature of spectators to cheer the underdog.

Agreed. People are so sure of the favorites winning, when they win a round or get a good kill it's nothing out of the ordinary -_-. Maybe cheerleaders next time ;) ?

BTW, why was Starcraft left out?

Lack of registrations, plus our Starcraft referee was not in a position to make it.

Everyone knows liquid use this. You're clearly using the liquid name just to promote your crappy product.
