I can tell that it's not totally happened due to the bad copy. I found this article from somewhere. It's time to post here. Plz read this I think this might be worked.

1.) Copy all files from your DVD to your hard drive.

2.) Open the "installmanifest_en.ini" in data/

3.) Delete everything and left only (also change the NumberOfFiles to 0)

This will prevent the installation from extracting files from data folder and install only important registry key and some other infos.

4.) Run setup.exe and install the game into any folder in your HDDs. It should take only a few seconds as there's no files being extract to the game folder, but it's an important process to make the game work.

5.) Go to /data folder. See all those .rar files? You have to use 7-zip and extract all of them to your game folder.

6.) For example in /dragon Age folder. After extracting all files, you should see /bin_ship, /data, /modules, /docs, /packages & DAOriginsLauncher.exe in the main folder.

7.) Go to /bin_ship/ and double click daorigins.exe to start the game. You can create a shortcut on the desktop for easy access in future.

This method works for me and playing it right now. But maybe because of the CRC broken files in some .rar file, some movies & sounds do not work. For example most of the time I can't hear anything when Morrigan is speaking which isn't a big deal for me as you can still turn on the subtitle and read. Most other voice acting and movies are working perfectly fine though. If you really want to fix this problem, you can swap the broken files with your friends or other nice users on the internet.

This fix to data error problem is very easy, just a little bit more troublesome. Some other method suggested by other gamers including changing DVD rom, copying to files HDD and updating your software. But if none of above method works for you, try this method as it work for many others.

Post a comment here if you have any question. Hope after reading this, you'll be able to play dragon age in no time! Happy adventuring!

Good Luck

Yeah. Thx m8. I play this game which had crc errors at the beginning earlier with the installation but with no errors in game after doing this right.

I don't know what is going on here. I bought the game from PCL and installed with no problem. Everything was smooth.
