I've been informed that Determinato (aka floccinaucinihilipilification) have disbanded after the WCG 2009 tournament held at Ground Zero. This ends an almost year long run for the team that stirred up the Sri Lankan Counterstrike 1.6 scene from it's tranquil setting earlier this year.

Determinato marked their arrival to the scene with a splash at GCCL Season 2 (Sunday Times article) where they made it to the grand finals and gave Team Ferrari a double OT fight for the championship, which ended up being one of the best CS 1.6 matches in the country.

Since then Determinato have been pushing the limits with the help of zhkr in local tournaments. Their hard work came to a crescendo at the Team Liquid vs Determinato exhibition match, dubbed as one of the biggest matches in Sri Lankan Counterstrike 1.6 history. They managed to topple the status quo and shortly thereafter receive pro-team status in Sri Lanka.

On behalf of Gamer.LK, Team Liquid, and the gaming community in general, I would like to wish  xxxazianxxx, mombu$$$, xtaz, spawn and ic3z all the best in their future endeavours. We hope we will see some of that talent pooled together to wow us in the future in some form or another.

oh man, we'll miss you, me and specially my team learned a lot from you guys, all the strats and our game play, the CS I play today is because of you guys specially SpawN you taught me everything i know dude, your the best man the best <3, good luck to you guys on your future, respect.

Thats really really sad. I don't think we can see more good matches unless another determinato comes into the scene. This is really sad.

Floccinaucinihilipilification (or determinato as we all know it) was one of the best teams I have ever worked with. They came to the top of the SL Counter Strike scene in a matter of months and continued to dominate as a result of their ability to learn and adapt very quickly. They had so much potential, so much talent but problems like constant roster changes and inability to dedicate much time to CS kept them from doing what they were best at. We had our ups and downs and in the end it all came to this...
It's a sad day.

Anyhow, I would like to thank everyone on behalf of the team for continuing to show us support. You are the ones who made us so you deserve a cookie
