It's kinda expensive (for second hand) and the performance it delivers (I'm sure my poor rig will give a better experience due to RAID - my friends agree it's way faster than theirs after using it... makes me happy XD). But I'm sure you'll have to pay more for the *parts* used in this rig, if bought brand new....especially if you buy from here.

That said...I don't pay for the brand name, or the features that I don't use or the fancy looks. I need smooth performance at a very cheap price point (overclocking is LIFE!)...and also very good power economy. (Thinking of bringing the CPU clocks down... but I dunno how much it will improve >_>)

BANG FOR THE BUCK FTW!!!

I guess. If it has warranty, you're all good.

Just that I wouldn't have chosen those brands or parts so that I can save every penny :D

Eg: I would have gone with a cheap dual core and overclocked the hell out of it! I would buy Kingston ValueRAM but will do 8GB RAM. I would buy a second identical HDD for RAID-0'ing. I would buy a cheap Foxconn mobo. I would try to grab a HD4770. I would buy a cheaper Amacrox 500W PSU and some stupid case :D (would have saved about Rs.20000 but would give much better performance when doing general stuff... of course the 4870 will be tad faster in games, and quad core will be tad faster in apps that can utilize all cores... but for the price, it will ROCK!)

It actually sounds about right if you're buying it brand new... in the US though. Here in SL I guess you could call it cheap even though it's 2nd hand.

Still, very nice rig. Everythings branded!!! Would be a dream setup for me ;)

I actually got my rig (old one) for 20K, also from a friend and these were the specs.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.133Ghz
Intel 946GZ motherboard
Radeon X1900XT 512MB
Maxtor 200GB SATA HD
1GB KV RAM
17" Samsung SyncMaster 173V
5.1 Creative Surround Speaker Set
Creative SB Live! 5.1 PCI card
Foxconn 350W PSU

Which I thought was a good deal for 20K.

Now add

2GB of 667MHz KV RAM OC @ 830MHz
AGC 500W PSU
Foxconn P43A mobo
Core2Quad Q8200 OC @ 2.9Ghz (415x7)
8800GT 512MB OC @ 680/1725/960

And you have the my current setup. I'm just one HD 4870 away from my dream rig!!!
Intel Core i5 | 8GB DDR3 RAM | 120GB SSD | 3TB HDD | AKG Q701 Reference Headphones | SteelSeries Sensei Fnatic + Qck Mass

Nice Rig RaZor !
I've actually OCed the proc to 3GHz for everyday use. I'm sure this baby has more potential as I'm only at 1.28v vcore. As far as Q6600s go this is a very good voltage for 3gig OC. But I'm held back by temps. The chip is under a crappy Asus Silent Square that doesnt do well if I OC past 3.2Ghz (gets upto 67* on core #1). I'm hoping to get this baby upto 3.6GHz with better cooling ;D

Its more like 69* on Prime 95
But the maximum I've seen otherwise is 67* when encoding an .mkv movie

What temps do you run at ?
