I think nVidia hates the SSD, because your video card performance has dropped with the introduction of the SSD LOL

Yes I agree with you, it's a known fact that nvidia chip set doesn't support much...

This was my first rig which TOASTED thanks to my psu blowing up. Wasn't able to recover anything from it :( except the processor. Purchased it early 2006 and costed me a fortunate. But its all dead now.

AMD 3800X2 Dualcore
2GB DDR Ram
Gigabyte mobo with onboard nvidia 6200 VGA
250HDD
IBM 19" True Flat Black CRT Monitor
Mercury Generic 400W psu.

So HERE GOES THE SPECS OF MY NEW RIG...

Intel Core i5-750. 2.66ghz. 4 cores. 8MB Cache processor
Intel DP55WB
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333mhz
750 GB HDD  [500GB Seagate Barrucuda + 250GB Hitachi]
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD5770 1GB DDR5
Sound Card:   Onboard 8Channel Sound
Seasonic SS650HT 650W 80-Plus PowerSupply
5.1 Altec Lansing Subwoofers
Samsung 2233SW 21.5" LCD Monitor - Will be purchasing it in the coming month :D
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS

Will post pictures soon. My digi cam was faulty so had to send it back to BestBuy, expecting it back in 2 weeks. So will post pics then. :D
Regret buying the Intel DP55WB tho,as it hasnt got Xfire. But then again I was on a tight budget.

ahh nice ... VGA's back here in SL are waaay too much and usually u dont find decent ones. many shops have the 9400GT n 9500GT. The Asus H5750 is like 28K at Barclays which it actualy should be about 16K, well atleast 20K MAX. I guess the ones with pretty decent vgas here are the ones who get their vgas from abroad.
but $179AUD is pretty decent a deal i guess.  I got mine from singapore. waiting anxiously til it comes. Can't wait to hold it in my hands.

Damn thats alota fans aint it. i just got a shit generic casing. Not that rich enuf to spend money on Casings. mayb later on . bit by bit.

umm dunno abt barclays but EGS has ASUS HD 5770 cucore for 27k... which is basically 4k more than singapore and stuff.. so for the 3 year warranty I think its worth it :)

Yeah i know EGS has it. I was abt to get it . but then the Cucore version lacks the Eyefinity technology.
you know the whole. 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 Display port :) i know its stupid to want all of them. but i somehow wanted it.

And plus well the cucore is not 4K cheaper :D its waaay cheaper than that if ur able to get a good bargain that is. :P it wud cost abt 19000-19500 LKR , so thats a good 8000 cheaper. So i guess that should count for something yeah?

lol every one in sl just wants to make money : )))) 27k for a HD5770 is retarded i think :s if u can get stuff own from the us t wud be the cheapet i think... cheaper than malaysia as well from what ive heard!!!!

i got this casing mainly cos i plan to overclock my stuff abit laters : ))) so need as much air as possible.... once i get down to the over clocking ill prolly stick all 5 fans to stay on the safe side :)

apparently the Sapphire HD5770 vaporX version with an easy bargain was singa $238, but can be bargained further.
the XFX in malaysia was like 18800 without a bargain :P

But then its a risk u hv to take, liek they say the best things in life dont come easy. Id say if u hv a relative there in singapor or malaysia get it down from em, and if theres any waranty issues u cud ship it to them. it wud cost abt 3500-4000 one way, n even cheaper than that if ur using Srilankan Postal service.
So that way if u purchase it for 19000.. and unfortunatly had to ship it back to claim warranty, the shipping wud cost like 6500-7000 up n down i guess. [remember it wud be cheaper thru SL POSTAL] so in total it wud cost u like 25000-26000 :)

And unless ur GIFTED WITH PURE BAD LUCK, im sure the chances of u having to claim warranty more than once is highly unlikely.
Plus i know a handful of ppl who have taken the risk and bought VGA's from singapore and so far 1 year into it, it stil works fine No issues at all.
So i guess at the end of the day it comes down to Taking that Risk. :D

Imagine newegg catered to us Sri Lankans :)

yup i personally think 27K for a 5770 is too much. but if u got that extra cash to spend and if ur afraid of taking risks, then i guess payin an extra 5000-9000 for the warranty is ok.
But i for one, aint got that money, n cant afford it. so i guess for ppl like me, our only option is "TAKE THE RISK, TAKE UR CHANCES & BUY FROM ABROAD"
