Guys think Practically...Mcdogi is having the CrossFire (2x5850) set up nt the SLI set up. So he have to find mobo which supports CrossFire Mainly nt the SLI.

In Sri Lanka a good ASUS boards have premium price...I prefer not only ASUS...Foxconn,MSI & Gigabyte also.

the only boards that I prefer are the original Intel boards,ASUS boards and MSI boards  and i also  prefer EVGA boards  other than that i really wouldn't buy brands like foxconn

Shehan...There're abt 30% of the GLK ppl are using Foxconn Motherboards, Specially the Foxxconn Mars. For more info ask some old GLK members.

i think the i7 6 core gulftown is the i7 980 man :) btw intel claim that the 6 core will be compatible with all x58 boards but we ll have to wait and see wont we??

the 6 core costs around 1200$ man are you going to buy a processor worth almost the rest of the components of the machine??? i hope they have a lower version of it like the i7 920. although AMD will have cheaper processors their 6 core  and i think AMD will come back strongly back to business...

980X is the extreme model. that's $999+
970 is the non-extreme model. possibly $600 range. no idea about pricing and availability

dude, all of Intel's extreme CPUs cost $999 or more. some people still buy them. none from Sri Lanka though, but that's not because we are wise, but because we can't afford them. If we could afford them, Intel will be earning the biggest profits from here. :P
