Anyways, I'm one hour from launching my first colony ship And I did my first expedition so I got 2 freebie HFs. Now it's back to upping my mines. I'm thinking I'll saturate a solar 20, get a small fleet, get astro 3 and build another colony.

Everyone start praying that my first colony will be a success. Considering the fact that I modified my ENTIRE early game just to get it out ASAP, I'll be keeping the colony irrespective of the number of fields. That said, I wont try my luck with a slot 3/11 for the off chance that I'll get a lot of fields. I think I'll go for the safest option and colonize a slot 8.

@Warrior, 3000 is a LOT. Uni19 had ~1000 (once it went to 998). And uni19 had a LOT more banned/inactive people. There are a lot of v-moders here though.

Left sidebar --> Alliance --> Member List (Under Overview menu)

Nope it's not there. Well I remember we had limit the access to the member list in uni19 for newcomers.

EDIT: Jasonx, you're sort of close to me. YOu're the closest DoNG guy anyway. Klepto is the next closest at ~100 SS away. Anyways, I'm sending a colony ship to 1:477:9. Have I forgotten any criteria for colonizing?

I finally did my first attack on someone who had defenses (3 RLs, 1 LL). Speedsim said I'd lose an SC/LF/both, but my uber leet weapons 3 and armour 4 saved me . Profit was around 25k (16k metal, 7k crystal, 2k deut). Far cry from the 1mil+ profit attacks we used to do, but it's a start
