This poll is for GLK alliance OGame players only. Others, please refrain from voting kthx.

The GLK alliance has been invited to the Pan Sentient Confederation after our fair and honest handling of the war with KRETz. Basically, we've impressed some high ranked members The Pan Sentient Confederation is a bunch of alliances that have come together to form a government of sorts. Current member alliances are the Pan Sentient League (rank 23) and Volts (not ranked).

Pros and cons in the most basic form:

Pros:
- We get a military backing from high rankers. Someone attacks us repeatedly? We get revenge through the Confederate Defense Force (CDF).
- Things might get a little interesting in the game since we *might* be supporting more members in defense etc. E.g. a fellow PSC member asks for help, and we have to give it.
- There is a high council which makes all decisions (economic, military, legal) and we get 3 votes on it.

Cons:
- We have to pay a monthly tax (200k metal/crystal/deut). This is paid by the entire alliance, not per member.
- The alliance will have to contribute 500 ships (cruisers and above only) to the CDF. This means we will have to send this amount of ships if we are asked.
- Any major decisions (war, revenge attacks etc) will have to go through the High Council first. We have only 3 votes on this - so if the rest of the council decide to vote against us, we are helpless.

I'm sure everyone has plenty of questions. Feel free to ask them on this thread and we (Me and Squig, who have been speaking to the PSC) will try to answer as best we can.

2.how many votes in the council?(we hav 3 votes,how many vote they hav?)

5.are they going 2 limit the members in GLK?(if someone in GLK site ask 2 join whts gonna happn?)

1. Yes we will be playing as GLK
2. Each representative on the high council has 3 votes, and the high chancellor has 4 votes. Each alliance will have one representative appointed.
3. Treasurers will be appointed from all ranks so that the highest ranked player in an alliance will be able to send resources to a lower ranked player acting as treasurer.
4. Democracy wins, so majority vote wins. I'm not sure how many exactly though.

Trading, NAPs and Alliances don't need to go through the high council. Those are valid on a per alliance basis only though. e.g if we form an alliance with Red Sky, that will be valid between GLK and Red Sky only, and not the PSC.

Hm well, bit worried about the 500 ships thing. Not sure if we even meet that atm?

Other than that, im leaning towards Yes.

However, I remember Mumble said that PSC was not well regarded in Uni19 when you first brought this up in Chat. Dont think he replied when you asked why. So I want to see his argument first, before I vote.

Its the Alliance Intro for PSL whom are high ranking members of PSC. The thread starter, Onamii is the Vice Chancellor of the Pan Sentient Confederation.

And I must say, that he sounds kinda like a snobby jerk My vote slowly shifting to No...ill see after more people talk about this.

I'm against this whole thing. Onamii seems like a nice person, but I think it's wrong to give up sovereignty by handing over political, economical and military capabilities on a silver plate with no guarantees, hoping it might be a benefit to us on the long run. By joining, this organization will have full control over all alliances part of it, rather than to act as a method to connect these alliances. I don't see the usage of i.e. their ships policy, tax policy or even their penalties for not complying.

Having three votes is nice for a system where the PLC is advisory and has strictly limited power over affairs concerning the cooperation of their member alliances, rather than having the proposed governing role over all of them. This system sounds nice at first, but it's nothing more than a way to fuse multiple alliances, portrayed as an organization meant to be of benefit to all parties.

Well im a new to ogame and its politics and basically everything. From what ive read, id vote no. Better we have our own independance than be lapdogs of higher ranked players. This is sorta like the UN = load of crap

ya after arch gave that link im not soo ok with this
but there are some benifits(<unprofitable stuff,specaily giving ships n res whn they need)
but only 1 benifit that i can think is,  stop getting attacked rapidly (specialy frm our friends was in KRETz,they started attacking again )
we can overcome lots of alliances bt if thers a alliance war not sure abt getting support
and also reading that thread i feel that there r soo many against Onamii and PSL+PSC
till something comes up i say no

Ah arch! You found the thread I was talking about! The closest people I have to "friends" outside of GLK happen to fall within the confines of the Anti-PSC group.

I voted no because i strongly feel that this psc will tie our hands & wont let us play independently on our own.If we join psc,Then the game will never be same.& I dont see any worthy benefit from joining the confederation.What they say as a benefit is protecting their members.Arent we doing it already?With ACS s,Helping in decision making,With resources etc. etc.. We are doing that already.So I dont see any good than letting them tie our hands & souls.So I voted a big "NO".
