(ADVICE) Cinebench scores
« on: January 14, 2021, 07:58:28 pm »
This is not an ad but as many people say this is the only section most of us check. Admins may remove this post if I'm over the line.

I just need to clarify something about the cinebench scores.
I recently bought a i5 10400F along with a B460M bazooka MB. I hav GSKILL Ageis 2*8gb 2666 Rams
Running the latest windows version.
I ran the Cinebench R20 with the stock cooler and I only got a score around 2872 for multicore and less than 421 for single core.
I ran this with difference priority settings and the maximum I got was around 2930 multcore and 429 singlecore with realtime priority, but when I checked online the same processor has scored around 3197 multicore and 450 singlecore in Cinebench R20.
My cousin got around 3150 for the i5 10400F he has with MSI B460 Pro VDH Motherboard and 2*8gb 2400 rams.
So my questions are;
1) Isn't this a significant difference?
2) What could be causing this difference?
3) Does this mean the processor is in anyway defective?

Also if people who use the same processor posts their scores for Cinebench R20 that would also be helpful.
Thank you.

I'm using CPUID HWMonitor for monitoring all the stats.

how is the cpu and case temperatures?
Multicore the cpu temp went up to 72C and for single core it remained around 58C and system temp is around 42C.
Multi core score 2848
Single core score 421

check the all core boost clocks as well
Not sure whether i did it correctly. The minimum clock is 3589 and the max is around 4291 for all clocks.
