PSU upgrade - Seasonic g550 to Corsair RM750x

As topic says - do I need and worth the upgrade? My best upgrade on future would be a ryzen 3700x + x570 or 10700 + z490, and a GTX 1080 or RTX 2070s

I currently have a Seasonic G550 which works quite well with my current setup (6600k OC 4.2Ghz+ z170, gtx 1070)

How will Corsair be a better option than Seasonic ?  Well you need to compare 550 vs 550 of Corsair or 750 corsair vs Seasonic 750.

its because the wattage mainly. Theres an offer for a RM750 - which is a CWT psu and a fully modular. mine is 550W semi modular.

But you say seasonic is way better than CWT unit? to a level where fully modular and 200W wattage increase is also not worth it?

Nothing to hurt your feelings, you have bought it so its ok.


But its like I had a Honda 1300cc or Toyata 1300cc and now i buy a 1500cc Car Made in India. If I say I bought a BMW then its an upgrade.

but your response confuses me. you put CWT(Corsair) is a bad psu manufacturer?

if so, whos doing it well?
