[Buying] SATA SSD 120/240gb or below
« on: November 07, 2020, 01:52:30 am »
Hello,

My PC takes an eternity to wake up from sleep  :( :( and I'm in need of a SSD for my boot drive.
Looking for a good deal on a used SATA SSD preferably from the Colombo area.
Let me know if anyone got one for sale.

Thank you and stay safe :bye: :bye:

Check ikman, there are few shops who are selling used 120GB/240GB drives from aussie.  I recently purchased two 2TB hard disk from them, and they were in decent shape (as in no bad sectors, and usage time low).

I did the same for my old 2012 iMac.  it was dog slow and kids could not use it as after mojova it was optimized for SSD.  Since iMac internal drive requires removing the display, etc i opted for the USB 3 route with a 60GB drive, and yes made a world of a change.

Same was done for the ageing Thinkpad X240, upgrading the RAM to 8GB and added a M2 ssd as the bootable.. and its as good as a machine that is 3 generations newer for day use purposes.

Thanks for the reference! Last I checked health was at 99% (about a month back) via the OCZ disk monitor, but canít check it now as Iíve left it disconnected.

Happy to provide a checking warranty though if that helps.
