What kinds of mods are we planning to make, maps, weapons, objects or a bundle(Is it too early to ask? ??? )

was hoping for a bundle.

I'm currently downloading the crysis sdk, they have a starter mod visual c++ project file for visual c++ 2005. I'm gonna start taking a look at it in the evening, there is extensive documentation on the sdk and examples on that site i just posted.

it'll be great if those interested will go through the basics (sand box editor, asset creation and finally those interested in the scripting/coding angle can download the sdk).

Modeling will also be a great part of this. I recently played a Predator mod for crysis. pretty decently done, nice models etc, so the finished product has a whole bunch of angles to look @. Those with 3dmax experience will definitely help.

I think there is some definite interest, maybe we should talk about this more officially?

yes, if someone from gamer.lk or others abel to orgenize some kind of monthly meetings, then we can meet and discuss about both gaming and game developement. Then everybody have chance to share there knowledge among others. It could be a new game mode, cheat or new game development methords.
I personaly did these kind of game development session for my campus and for Microsoft.
and i think this would be realy grate make this community even bigger.
