Re-pply thermal paste on laptops
« on: April 20, 2020, 05:01:27 pm »
Hi. I have an Acer f5 573g laptop I purchased in 2016. It was a decent laptop with a Nvidia 940mx. The laptop has recently started to increasingly become hot, too which point the laptop was untouchable for long hours. Due to the increased heat the battery is also going into issues. I wanted to know if it a good idea to reapply thermal paste to my laptop to cool it and to get better performance. Please share your thoughts on this and if anyone knows a place to do this please let me know. Thank you

don't think thermal paste is the issue here. so first (don't know how you can do it these days ) get it checked thoroughly and also get it cleaned as well. the out come of this will tell you the problem and possible solutions as well. i don't own a laptop so i cannot recommend a place for this.
Asus z390-P, intel i5 9400, corsair vengence RGB DDR4 16GB*2 @ 2666Mhz, EVGA RTX 2070 black edition, ADATA XPG 240GB NVMe SSD,WD 1TB HD,ADATA XPG Pro 1TB NVMe, samsung evo 850 250gb SSD, Corsair graphite 760T white enclosure, Logitech Z5500 sound system, Acer Predator XB273K monitor,Corsair STRAFE RGB MX RED key board, Logitec G502 protius core mouse, corsair RM750x white PSU

Thank you. I'm going to give it to service and get it cleaned. I hope it would fix at least some of the issues. Thanks for your comment.
