Time to move to Ryzen?
« on: July 20, 2019, 01:38:15 pm »
I was an intel fan from the beginning -  beceause AMD always had something behind. On Athlon age its the heat, after the performance and critically low single core performance.

Since now the multi threading is a thing and more and more apps benefit from more cores and threads, with the Ryzen 3000 series being head to head with intel, (+ pcie 4.0 on x570s) is it the time to drop intel and move to amd? my next target upgrade was to go to 9600k with a z390 but, now having second thoughts on 3600x with a x570,

open for discussion  :)

I thought i5-9600K was step ahead vs the processor speed. PCI-E 4 is one that needs to be looked in to.

But the thread count makes 3600x a beast in day to day works. In games its only 2-3 fps difference in majority of the titles. 9600k has more single core performance though

PCIE 4.0, do we actually saturate the full 3.0 x16 bandwidth? even at a RTX 2080 Ti

Even Ryzen 3600 n 3600x has single core boost and all cores do not give the same performance, But the PCIE 4.0 will make big difference. Its not only for the GPU but for HDD n SSD mainly for SSD it will make a big difference.
