Best Data Recovery place?
« on: January 04, 2019, 07:51:26 am »
Looking for a good data recovery place in sri lanka... The ones who are capable of replacing heads or changing platters. A friend of mine has a 80GB WD HDD with sensitive data in it.

The head is giving out a clicking noise.

So it cannot be given to someone who is going to try. Called a few places, they seemed not sure.. so want to avoid the risk since other places will not take in drives that has been tried out by others.

dose this "few places" include a guy who run the business in his home and lives near Narahenpitiya? i had such a problem few years ago and he said what needs to be done exactly to the last detail. i had a look at his work and it seems he had one of his house room converted to a acceptable level lab with equipment where he can recover data. i'm my case due to the HD being very old and exact replacement parts where not found he was unable to recover. he needed the exact head controller in my case.
but i know what you need is a contact number or an address and unfortunately i don't have them.  sorry.

No these guys are ok, they seem legit, I do similar work, my problem are the ones just try it out and hope it works, I have met and worked with such individuals as well and it was a very bad experience. This is not my HDD and my client is very keen on getting it recovered, anyway I already found a contact... will talk to them and see.

Thank you for the reply
