What type of drive are you using? this converters does not work all the time properly, better to find a SAS controller which plugs in to PCIe slot, you can find a cheap controller like LSI 1068E for 10-15$, also you may flash the TI firmware for pass-through mode, then the Drive will be visible to OS without any RAID volumes.

I do have a working LSI card came for HP workstation, and already have 4x 320GB SAS Array, not for RAID, but for performance and Durability. i only have one SAS to SATA bracket, others 3 are running modified SATA cables and Modified Sata connectors which become lose all the time. so i need another 3 of those...

Oh well, you can find the following cables on ebay for cheap, one of them must be fit for your LSI card ports, do not use too many connectors, it will drop the speed, one problem, are you using SATA drives on LSI card ???

In Sri Lanka they are very hard to come by...I normally buy from China,
It is not much effective using SATA drives on SAS controller, try to find 10-15K RPM SAS drives.
What is your controller?

I had to create custom cable using old PC Mobo power connector, near by 6 pins out of 24 connector matched with power connector on disk array & wire them to +12, +5 & +3.3 Voltages accordingly (If you need I have pin out some where, how to wire voltages), I used 2 (SFF-8087) SAS data cable directly to SAS controller,  I have exact same parts above images on my setup, (I'm out of Colombo, Later I'll share real pictures of my system)

Note :- I'm still not managed to get LEDs (on disk array) going, this is a kind of ongoing project
