Battlefield 3 (PS3 - Multiplayer)
« on: September 30, 2011, 12:20:02 pm »
Hiya fellas,

Anyone who played the Battlefield open Beta on PS3? I just played it today morning. It's was a 1.1GB download and I'm happy to say there were no lags in the gameplay except some minor glitches (guess because it's still a beta). As usual the frame-rate is bit sloppy but overall gameplay is fun and energetic. I might buy the PS3 version of Battlefield 3.

**The reason for the sloppy framerate is that most multi-platform games are not develop specifically for PS3 to get most out of PS3's hardware. Nowadays multi-platfrom games firstly develop for xbox 360 and ported in to other platforms (ps3/wii/pc) this procedure follows to reduce the development time and the effort that need to put in.

Please share your Battlefield 3 multiplayer experience.

Thanks.

Well, BF3 is capped at 30 fps on console. Buy the game on PC dude, thats where all the fun is. There are no fps limits. ;D
I dream of a world where chickens can cross the road without having their motives questioned.

No dude look at the games like Killzone or Uncharted they got astonishing graphics on PS3. I don't know much about DICE or their engine (Frostbite 2) but it's bit disappointing to see lots of gamers are complaining about bugs and the low detailed graphics during the gameplay.

Hope DICE will manage to overcome these issues before the full release.
