Battlefield 1 : CPU Usage.
« on: October 21, 2016, 04:18:37 pm »
How's the BF1 CPU usage. I have a core i5 6500 struggling to get 60 fps in MP. GPU usage stays around 60-80% usage. Any fix? Or I should upgrade it to i7 to enjoy the game?   Thanks.

I've not played BF1 yet but just to let you know, You don't need an I7 to game.
I'm 100% sure the I5 6500 doesn't bottleneck the RX480.

but in this game it sure does.. my gpu stays around 80%
ultra settings shadows(lighting) is on high and 900p resolution(resolution scale 150)

even on low settings the cpu goes to 100%
i hope dice fixes this issue :(

It does in multiplayer. This is the most CPU intensive game I played. They will fix it with some launch patch.

I get 70-90 in a ultra+high settings. Try lowering lighting quality to medium or high

Unpark your CPU cores. Basically there is nothing to fix. It has been like this forever with battlefield games. But sure game will be optimized more with time.

I did unpark cores. That's the first thing I do before installing GPU drivers :3
I really hope they fix this problem. Game looks fantastic
