Most comfortable headphones
« on: October 03, 2016, 09:16:53 pm »
Since i have started to make my notes in to recordings i have found it easier to study and therefore am willing to splurge on a pair of comfortable headphones
i am using the bose qc range of headphones and even though they are comfortable they get very hot and unbearable.
so now i want a pair to use at my pc
does not have to be stationary,no need to look nice just has to be comfortable and keep my ears at a cool temp
im currently looking at the sennheiser hd598s and beyerdynamic dt880/990
exchange + cash with vmoda m100s+xl pads possible

*id like the headphones to be complexity around the ears
**non leather headphones favourable
***i would prefer to not buy a amp/dac to run them so something with low ohms is the best option

I'll have the Sony MDR 7506s in about a week. Will update on how comfortable they are, since sound quality is already on point.

If you need it to be comfortable go for one with velour pad. You can also buy them as replacement for most headphones. I just changed my pads to velour and it went from uncomfortable to wearing it in bed.

Also go with open back headphones if possible.

i learnt that open back provides an open sound and no seal so that will help reduce heat
mid if i ask what ur headphones are

I thought you went for the hyper x cloud

Go for an open ear. Get mine if you don't mind the mic. (+ virual surround sound)

Otherwise 598 ftw! Although I have heard that it isn't that much flexible & could break

Since you have used a few cans I'd suggest going to an audio forum to find more experts' advices

As I said, mine are very comfortable and I don't even feel them at times. Sound is pure quality. Even without the sound card. Adjustable. Open Eared so your ears won't go deaf for a while

But if are only looking for a set of cans then 598 it is. It's the marginal set of cans in that price range as I can remember.

PC363D = 598 + mic + soundcard

The drives & audio hardware are the same

Dude.  I have the Memoey foam replacement earpads for your V-MODA's.  Try those and then take a decision.

Well I bought them from UK on a black Friday. Got a very good deal. I'm not sure about the hardness though coz they were comfy since the beginning and now I can't tell the difference.
