Your Favourite Videogame Soundtrack

Well, we got several threads where people share their favourite tunes, but thought we needed a separate clean thread for just videogame soundtracks because they're AWESOME!

Comment your favourite tracks below with a link.

Some things you can include:
Name of the artist/composer
Moment in the game when the track was played (eg. which boss fight, which level etc.)
How it contributed to your experience

This one's from Furi (game just came out recently). Track is called "6:24" by Danger, played during the first boss encounter or tutorial. The tutorial is also a boss fight because the game is all about boss fights anyway :D The music alone instantly hooked me into it.

ok to me the best sound track that got played in game was "what is love" by Haddaway in saint row 4 when you escape from the alien ship. to me its well placed and well positioned track just for that moment. its extremely rare when you find such moments even in films where you feel that the sound properly compliments the scene.

one thing that got closed to above  was in Dark sides 2 where you fight the guardian.

a lot to say (apart from GTA series :P),
like many said, many newer games far cry cry 3, farcry 2 too (main menu african song), many moments in original crysis and warhead, company of heroes menu music etc etc

but the ones still really give me goosebumps are,
4. battlefield 1942 theme
3. power rangers timeforce menue theme (gameboy advance)
2. almost all mario cart super curcuit tracks ;D ""

1.lord of the rings the two towers character selection (gameboy advance) music - purest form of lort bliss  ;D ;D

ofc nostalgia involved :P

It's a tad bit weird, but I like a wide variety of soundtracks. :3 Like, I became a gamer by accidently coming across a disk containing thousands of Genesis and SNES games with emulatorz and I grew from there. XD I, for one, think the classic Sonic and Zelda games had amazing soundtracks.

I also like the 90's "Way Past Cool" rock style sound track from the Sonic Adventure Games.
I have a weird love for the Assassins' Creed 3 soundtrack, BUUUUT

I'd give the best price to a quite obscure game named "Ori and the Blind Forest". A challenging platformer game with SO MANY FEELS. ;( and the soundtrack didn't help contain the feels one bit. The soundtrack in this game, man.. I dunno how to explain it. Just listen to this. This is just the title screen music. Imagine the other tracks. O.O
