I recently got back to the game since the HoT release. Enjoying it quite a bit, but would be nice to have some company in the same timezone.

Think about it this way. I paid 60$, and now for HoT I pay another 50$ = 110$.

People who pick up the game now only pay 50$ for HoT and have everything.

Actually was looking to get back into an MMO so might try out GW2 again. How is HoT does it add a ton of content?

Well, it's the continuation of the story of Modremoth. So feels a bit like Zhaitan...

There are 4 new maps (where to take the fight to Modremoth, ie: like Orr maps did for Zhaitan). These maps are similar to Dry Top and Silverwastes in how they work, day/night cycles and the like with different objectives that work towards a common map Meta goal. I think the scale feels a lot bigger thought, and a fair bit complex.

The maps themselves feel quite vast (several levels) and you get around via gliding, hopping on bouncing mushrooms, and such. Quite fun at first, but that might wear out after sometime. And you will possibly curse when you jump off a high cliff and wonder why your glider isn't opening because you are back in Tyria instead of Maguuma. :p

There is a new class called the Revenant. I've started playing it, and it's quite interesting how it works. Possibly a bit OP at the moment, which might get nerfed down the line. But it's fun.

All the classes also have Specialisations now. Mesmer => Chronomancer, Ranger => Druid, Warrior => Berserker, etc. They also allow new weapon usage where you previously weren't able to (ie: Mesmer with a shield, or a Ranger with a staff, etc).

Then there are the raids that were added which I have not yet had a chance to go into. From what I read, a bit complex and requires good coordination.

All in all, with all the other re-worked things, I like it.

P.S. The WvW maps have also changed. And currently, PvP league is going on.

Got GW2 40% which means I missed out on LW Season 1
Got HoT 50% before LW season 3 started.

Those got bought HoT Straight away missed out on LW season 2, though you could purchase the chapters for gems...

Was half way to the PVP Legendary

There are like 4 to 5 Sri Lankan players here on EU , with lot of end game content accomplished , would be nice to have more SL players here.....
