I've been trying to join a gaming clan for the longest time but i cant.
can someone tell me how to join a clan or any ideas on how to get into competitive gaming.

I play various games, and I am also a fast learner but to name a few:

PC
Cod 4
Team fortress 2

PS3/4
Any Cod
Mortal combat x


I don't really know what else is played in competitive gaming. If you could state some games I can say which ones I play.

Ideally, find friends that you get along with who are in a clan. It's very easy to join a clan if you play a game and someone needs and extra player, but IMO the true benefits of a clan - friendship, camaraderie and all that- are always stronger when you hang out with friends whose company you enjoy. If not, it just all ends up in drama.
Why don't you show up at SLCG and befriend a few folk, see if you like them, and ask to be invited?
