Update the vga card, mobo, and sound card drivers. That should work. Unless its a freak virus.

Hi Asith,
If u like to play Fall out 3 without any erors just follow the above requirements.

1. Like thedarkone99 said update ur drivers mainly (VGA, Motherboard, Sound card) &             Install/update Directx(nov) vesrion
2. Then u shd have to download the latest patch which was released by Fall out 3
('coz these Fallout 3 people fixed the crashing & other problems in that game & if u install that patches it will definitely work) I tried that.

Asith you need to install service pack 1 for vista or else games have problems with it. There is some memory leak in original vista version when playing games i am sure thats the problem ask one of the guys here for a download of service pack 1 or see if you can find it yourself. One alternative would be installing xp but you would have to say goodbye to dx10 :'(.
Cheers Bro (Y)

macho there is site called gamecopy world they have plenty of cracks and cracked patches for most of the games out you install a fresh copy of the fall out 3 backup the original exe that are overwritten by the crack and try your hand out at all the cracks there.
Tell me where you bought the game and how much. Also try closing all the background programs running(Including the antivirus) and disconnect from the net when starting the game.
