Transfer limits are terrible even though my drivers are upto date, sought of flaky from day one, or can a third party software be the cause? Rig n specs in sig

Appreciate your help on the matter

my guess is that the lap and third party software has nothing to do with the write/read speed but have you tried turning the power mode to High Performance ?

Sort of the same performance mate, the write speeds fluctuate

By transfering you meant from another storage device right? Maybe it's the problem?
Did you try this?

In the policies try changing it from quick removal to better performance

check the selective usb suspending on your power options (advanced options) even though it's on high performance mode.
