Kings of LAN: June '15 - Single-player & Console

For the first time, we are going to host a Kings of LAN for Single-player & Console Games. It will take place on the 28th of June at Liberty Plaza lobby. 


Featured Titles
FIFA 15 (PC) - 1vs1
Need For Speed: Most Wanted (PC) - 1vs1vs1vs1
Trackmania (PC) - 1vs1
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Console) - 1vs1
Mortal Kombat X (Console) - 1vs1
Halo (PC) - 4vs4

Note: The rules & regulations will be based on the last SLCG. Also we won't be providing you headsets.

Registration will be Rs.300 per head (Rs. 1,200 Per Halo Team)
The registration fee can be paid on the first day of the LAN itself.

The tournament will be only one day - 28th June.

Venue is confirmed as Liberty Plaza lobby!

Easy access to games, food, shops, entertainment - make sure to take part or just drop by and watch the games!

Hi Niko, the Gamer.LK admins were at the PS4 launch and couldn't respond to you instantly - this isn't a live chat after all :)

I'm not gonna encourage any novice gamers to take part in this tournament because there is a too OP CLAN which gonna lift most number of tittles and it's quite unfair to waste our F*****G money and time (Example I had to come from Negombo) for this event... Unless GLK Admins make a wise decision to not let the pro clans to take part.

Which novice in any arena joins a tournament to win? They join to take part, be a part of the community and learn from their experiences so next time they won't be a novice.

actually, leaving pros out is not the solution but what you say is right. noobs gonna get crushed in to pieces n ultimately they will leave multiplayer forever. that actually happened to myself, where we tried to play CS 1.6 at SLCG. 16:1 -knockout. 1500LKR wasted only for 14mins of gameplay  :sick:  :'( :'( :'(
and one of our key players left playing cs, who was the short range - shotgun guy, he never played cs again  :(

If i get wrecked in a game against a pro gamer, i will keep that has a motivation to come back stronger the next time. Every clan will want to take part in all competition.. Clans fight for the titles. If a standalone player is complaining of how good the clan players are, then all they got to do is keep complaining.

Jude, I understand the issue and we're looking into organising some casual leaderboards etc. However, our main focus will continue to be promoting e-Sports in Sri Lanka. We've all been in a situation where we got wrecked. The pros today are just those that decided to continue instead of quitting like your shotgunner :)

Pros were once noobs too. They just practice hard without complaining. I've seen many who have lost in the preliminaries now competing in finals.

anyway leaderboards will be a good idea, where the pros will be recognized as pros, so they can join in to the tournament tree later on, and new clans/players will be playing in the preliminary rounds..  (Y)

SL has a national rugby team, but they will never be put against new zealand  ;) yet  ;D
