Get Competitive - 30th May

Do you think you are the best Call of Duty 4 player in Sri Lanka? Then here is your chance to prove it! On the 30th and 31st of May 9.00 am at the Immortal Gaming Cafe (No. 302, Havelock Road, Colombo 06., Colombo) alongside Kings of LAN, we will be starting the first leader board for Call of Duty 4. 


Alongside the Kings of LAN: May '15 - Call of Duty 4, we will be hosting a 1vs1 COD4 tournament to find the best Call of Duty 4 player in Sri Lanka. You will test your skills on a fixed map, with limited number of weapons, in a randomly generated knockout draw.   

This will be the start of a leader board for Call of Duty 4 in Sri Lanka.

Rules & Regulations 
Mod: Promod LIVE V2.20 EU (or the EU version of the latest)
Map: Shipment
Weapons,attachments and grenades:
Only SMG and Assualt classes can be used. Grenades and Special Grenades will be disabled. 

Ready up time: Will be limited to 5 mins (Anyone fails to ready up after 5 mins forfeits the match.)

1. All programs or files, either changed game files or new files, that change the game or add to its functionality, or which interact with the game in any way, are strictly forbidden. Modified versions of the game's resource files are always forbidden, regardless of what they do. The use of any forbidden program or file by any team member during a match, leads to a forfeit loss, and could lead to a removal and ban from tournament

2. Illegal Binds are defined as;

- Any binding of three or more keys.
- Binds that alter the map model, i.e.: no fog, no foliage, etc.
- Any binds pointed to any program or function that resides outside of the CoD4 directory, with the exception of voice comms software.
- Any types of scripts proven to give a real advantage or are part of
- any 'exec' or 'vstr' bind (this does not include anything related to demos or demo players)
- any script including 'lookdown'
- any script including 'wait'
- any bind including 'attack' cannot be combined with any other command
- any bind including 'frag' cannot be combined with other commands/binds
- any bind including 'weapnext' cannot be combined with any other command
- Binding 'attack' to MOUSE WHEEL UP/DOWN is prohibited

3. Permitted Bindings include;

- Changes to assigned stock single key game play binds.
- Binding of not more than two motion keys (Example: bind a +leanright;+moveright)
- If you have a non-stock binding that you’re unsure is legal, or have a binding that you would like to have approved for use in match play, submit the information to an admin for clarification and/or consideration.
- Namebinds
- Demoscripts
- Weapon/-menu/-select-Scripts (includes all grenades)
- Volume binds/toggles
- Any player found using illegal binds will be subject to possible removal from the competition.

4. Banned exploits

Map exploits defined:
Map exploits are errors or oversights in map design made by the map developer that provide an unfair advantage to a player or a team.

Such exploits include but are not limited to:

- the ability to lean through, pass through, and see through walls, doors, and windows, and use of clipped or defective map passages to access areas outside the normal playing area.

Proof of exploits:
Any dispute made for use of exploits must be supported with evidence. Any player, group of players, or team proven to be using illegal map exploits or boosting will be subject to loss of match points and possible expulsion from the tournament. Anyone found cheating will face a match forfeit and/or removal from the competition.

Note - Keep track of the rules as these are subject to change. 

Also we won't be providing you headsets.

Registration will be Rs.100 (Free for Kings of LAN participants)
The registration fee can be paid on the first day of the tournament itself.

Configs & Drivers
Config files need to be zipped (zip, rar) and emailed to [email protected] If it is absolutely necessary that you should install drivers for your equipment you must inform so to the same email address.

You will be granted 5 mins of ready up time, during which you will be needed to set up your hardware, get your game profile ready and get yourself ready for the match. If you are not ready after the 5 mins set up time, the oponent will receive a walkover.

USB Drives & Demos
The use of USB drives or any other portable storage devices are strictly prohibited by the rules of Get Competitive - 30th May. Demos will be handed out to the team captain so make sure to bring a freshly formatted USB drive.

Please make sure you bring your own USB Hub if you will be using more than two USB ports for your equipment.
