NSBM grads (Freshers) LM, HRM, etc except IT peeps - 15,000 to 25,000 max

Senior Executive Sales
(with a 5000$ to 7000$+ monthly target) - 60,000 to 90,000

Recently I came across 3 Kelaniya Uni grads (girls) who are working under a manpower service for a warehouse. They are paid only 11,000 a month. They work nearly 100 hours OT to earn a decent living.  :(
SL education system is poopie now... trust me...its a LOT poopier than you guys think...  >:(

Soooo  25,000 to work in an Air conditioned showroom (full of latest techie techies) is a pretty good offer for me.  ;D

You guys are missing the point. I am saying Rs. 25,000/- isn't an attractive remuneration package even if you earn that by sweeping streets. You could say it is comparatively better, but that doesn't make it attractive.

Even if you earn Rs. 5000/ Rs.6000/- during your training period, it is an investment, but that is a different matter.   

exactly my point. i dont see anywhere they have mentioned that you cant earn more than 25k over the time. its a start. hence calling 25k is an attractive remuneration package for dumb, uneducated cheap labour is improper, is all.

So since Didi commented without going ballistic in rage and since I have utmost respect for him for everything he does in glk :P, let’s have a one last go. Often people don’t read the whole comment and just respond to a part of that which they find offensive or against what they perceive and start going nuts.

That comment was made in response to Zero's comment where he asked whether I know how much guys at other shops earn, so in that context i was referring to salary scale of the guys who are employed at shops Zero was referring to, not to management trainees, and executive, etc…
 
I was referring to cheap labour that other shops employ instead of hiring better people to improve their business standards.

As I reiterated earlier, what is attractive is often subjective and a matter of perception. And I believe for an uneducated person who doesn’t have enough qualifications 25 would seem like a lot .

But for an educated person it shouldn't feel so!.., The general amount that they give for trainees, interns is even lower, ABSOLUTELY TRUE! Sometimes even as low as 6 or 7 thousand. Sometimes they don’t even demand a pay as they consider it an investment and a worthy experience.

Even then say that they’ll start earning 25k salary eventually but that shouldnt be considered as attractive for the effort they put into get there. They do it just because that is the general amount, but that shouldn't make it attractive.

I know the feeling as I graduated and did my first job for 10k, the second one for 25k, and now I earn a comparatively better amount which I am relatively satisfied with. Remember saving for six months to buy my AOC Monitor.

And I am telling that I didn't find 25k attractive at all for the effort I put to get there, but I did it because I had no option.

I am just saying that sometimes we have to redefine what ‘attractive remuneration package’ stands for.  Period
