Season 1 of the Gamer.LK Clans D.O.T.A League comes to an end after an amazing month of clan battles. GLK is proud to have been involved in the first ever online D.O.T.A tournament in Sri Lanka, and hope to make GCDL a biannual event. Season 1 showed how active the online gaming scene in Sri Lanka has become. It had it's ups and downs, but on the whole it set a very strong foundation for the future of competitive gaming in Sri Lanka. The next iterations of GCDL will be bigger and better.

A big thank you goes out to:

• All the clans that took part! The competitive atmosphere and the sportsmanship shown by each clan was outstanding.
• The referees and hosts. Thank you muksith, jehan, wado, red_aces and mumble who helped out with refereeing and hotsing clan matches throughout the season. We couldn't have done it without you guys
• The community.

Congratulations T0X1C and Good luck to all the other teams who took part, for upcoming tournaments!

Perhaps make this a bi-annual event? We need to step up the competetive gaming culture in SL and it would help to have such leagues going frequently to keep the players in competitive touch ...

Yes, actually we were planning on making it biannual at first but for now, it's just kept to annual until we find better ways to ref, host, organize matches etc. IMO having it biannual will take off the hype

GCDL *is* a bi-annual event. Just like GCCL. Stay tuned for news about season 2!

Maybe the admins of GCDL can attend the tri clan dota matches once they are confirmed? Can get some good refreeing experience

I met Wado last evening at Elements ... I told him to confirm by today and if they are not willing to participate, then we will invite another clan.. I'll keep you informed ... Btw, Reggeta kawa neda?
