best way to learn is to always play with some friends who are better than you. u cant learn the foundation of the game by watching videos or watching others play. most of the time you'll have no idea what pro players do. learn the basics and then watch matches and replays. its gonna take couple of years, lots of hours to get into the game properly.

In dota 2 you'll always face things you could have done better or could have used to it's maximum potential.

If you smoke while sniper is taking aim you would have used 100 coins to prevent a kill to sniper but thats it. Sniper keeps his spell from entering cooldown.

If you smoke while sniper has already fired the shot you would have used 100 coins to prevent a kill to sniper and put his ultimate on cooldown and also waste his mana.

That may not seem alot but that is alot for 100 coins worth.

On the note with playing with better people, that is one of the best ways the learn the game, but it is extremely difficult to find people who are willing to stick around and play with people they know are inferior in skill.

true. well it really wont make a difference in pub games since his ult cooldown is only 10 sec. TBH one shouldnt really waste a smoke just on saving himself anyway.

finding experienced players play shouldnt be that difficult though. there are couple of good dota guilds around here if im not mistaken.
