I am addressing this to Sabreen who commented saying how "cute" he thought of me when i said he makes 5000 RS on each part. You told me the parts you are getting are not sold for a 5000 RS profit, than let's look at how much the R9 270 cost on your website compared to newegg.com, one of the most well-known computer part online store. Newegg sells the R9 270 for around 169 USD, equivalent to 21,500 on xecurrency. You sell this part for 28,000 on your website. Adding up the shipping fee and tax fee, you pay approximately 1500 RS more. This is makes the part 5000 RS more expensive than how much you spent to buy the part. This is only one example, and i did not choose it because it has the biggest margin, but because i recently purchased it for personal reasons.
This is too easy. You are in the PC business, so here's my request.

If I were to buy a Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X 2GB GDDR5 OC graphics card from your company, how much would it cost? Please give me your price. If you don't/can't, then whatever argument you have about our pricing would be invalid.

Please keep in mind the price should include the following.
1. 3 year comprehensive warranty for manufacturing defects.
2. 1-to-1 replacement for the entire 3 years.
3. Standby item of sufficient performance in case RMA process exceeds 24 hours.

I'm waiting.

The smiles and warm welcomes have reduced which I have to mention. May be you guys are also under lot of tension with all the things going on. Just keep that Redline spirit going. Gaming Products range wise its the best there is.
We are actually splitting our operation into two locations, with renovations going on on both ends. We are a bit stretched with managing both so apologies if we weren't prompt with your request.

I went to redline last week to collect a FSP 300W for my friend. He bought the rest of the parts from Redline as I refereed him to them in the first place. We did some university project with them and got to know the people and I am very interested in Redline as a business case.
The thing I noticed is actually things have changed a bit. This is not me blaming or complaining but just giving my honest opinion for the benefit of the company. When I asked for the PSU i was told that stocks are out. But before I came I checked their Google spreadsheet which is supposed to be updated all the time so we can check before we come.
I usually check it everyday to be in touch with price changes as I am kind of fan of PC shops. I saw that there was a Green Y so I knew stocked had to be there. Instead of going away to another shop I asked again and got to know I could collect it from their warehouse near by. I get that the item was small and may not be profitable but if it was another customer would have gone to another shop.
I wanted to buy from you guys because I did not want my friend to face the same warranty crap issues like when I bought from those unity places.
Same thing happened to me when I was going to buy a 760T.Had to settle for 450D since i had already sold my old case.Anyway I'm still happy coz 450D is super awesome. But update ur price list Redline. U guys r the Best (Y)

Hi guys,

Thanks a lot for your comments and feedback. We really appreciate it.

Ifane, my name is Rashid and I think you had initially (like one or two months ago) come and spoken to me. You had explained that you were doing a project for school. I'm one of the directors at Redline who handles the back-end operations: finance, HR and investor relations.

Initially, I spoke to you and gave you my card and offered to help you with your project simply because at Redline we try to incorporate the community feel into what we do. We are members of the community and try to give back in the way we can. I thought this was like a business studies project and that you wanted data about Redline as a company... Like our monthly turnover, number of employees, product portfolio etc. I didn't even think i'd make a sale, so let's forget the Rs. 5000 margin, i wasn't even looking for the Rs. 500 margin.

I also believe that you asked me about a variety of processors. The logic I gave was clear: most games do not make use of multi-threading past 4 cores. Per core performance Intel wins. So pick an Intel quad core (I.e. An i5) and call it a day as far as gaming is concerned.

Trust me, I'd say there is no bigger AMD fanboy in SL than one of our directors. I even boycotted Intel at one time due to personal reasons. Still, I saw a difference going from my 6-core AMD to a third gen Core i5 in Crysis 3. I've been there, done that. As much as I'd like to admit otherwise. I can give you more points but I'll leave it at that for now.

Lastly, you mentioned the variety of products we sell. One thing we try to do at Redline is to cater to the customer. So if you come in and say that you have 70k to build a PC, we will recommend you what we feel is the best rig for your cash. Obviously, the spec will be different to if you came in with a 700k budget.

So the next time you are ready and willing to go for a quad GTX980 rig on an enthusiast overclocking motherboard with a 1200W 80 Plus Platinum power supply and Corsair case, please give me a call and I'd be happy to help you out. You have my card.

Zero, we could probably sell the R9 270 for around 26,000 RS. Which is 2000 RS cheaper than your price tag

LOL...... nice try to make us fools..... LMAO
Apologies if you had to wait a while for all the components to be gathered but if I recall correctly, whilst waiting for the parts, your mom kept on saying that the PC was to be used by you for "educational purposes" and to give a discount on all the items. Since you also bought the PC on a component basis and NOT as a fully assembled PC, we calmly explained to both of you that we are unable to give you a full cash discount but tried our level best to give you the best possible configuration for your "educational purpose" making sure you got bang for the buck performance, not a rupee more, nor a rupee less.

That being said, as Sabreen pointed out, keeping Rs. 5000/- per item as margins for us is a pipe dream. There's a small thing called a "reality check". You should invest in one.

If as you claim the PC was for your education, then how is it for one of your customers? Or are YOU the customer? Do you buy things and gift them to yourself?  :\.

Can I laugh a little bit more? LMAO if u really wanna do something just say the truth n sell. stop lying. lol. and yeah ship from UK? keep it for yourself. thos stuff are way expensive, tell us u ship from thaiwan or china :P

Actual set price with 3 year warranty, RMA services and standby card on demand, or GTFO. This thread is no longer a classifieds.

ROFL! @Ifane  :stupid:

a) There is no way you can possibly offer a product at the same price with the same service that Redline provides. Impossible.
Their prices are comparable to anywhere else in the world, and when it's not, their impeccable service makes it worthwhile going with them anyway - mainly due to them being tech enthusiasts themselves, and are not in it only for the money.

How else did they become the 'go-to' shop for any and all tech enthusiasts in the country?

Zero, we could probably sell the R9 270 for around 26,000 RS. Which is 2000 RS cheaper than your price tag

b) All those that consider a 'probable' difference of LKR 2000 on a R9 270 between you and Redline technologies would not even consider you. Not because of Redline's better service and professionalism, no - but just for the fact that your 'pelican' could've been drawn on paint. :P

we realized the boxes have not been opened yet. This can only mean the products have not gone through quality control.

c) Anyone who thinks that quality control by a retailer is opening and going through sealed boxes (like yourself), is an utter dimwit.

Go back to school kid. Business can wait till your head is a little less bloated.
And if you still want to do business, do it right.
