When one of our employee from Pelican Technology purchased computer parts from your shop, Redline Technology, we realized the boxes have not been opened yet. This can only mean the products have not gone through quality control. The Pelican Technology employee then asked what the return policy was and Redline told him he had one day. This meant if one of the components was damaged , we would only have one day to return it. The employee which sold the  components gave a 1 day return policy on a Saturday, and if we found a broken part, we would not have been able to return it, because Redline does not work on Sundays. This is unfair and unreasonable to the customer who trust you with your services.

Urrrm well if you were so worried about broken parts you could have opened the box then and there ?
Doesnt take a genius to figure that out does it ?

All we wanted to do is do a little advertising and help the Sri Lankan gaming computer because we feel your prices are way too over priced. If you want to play, than let's play, here are some of the points I want to make about Redline Technology:

- The shop opened quite a while ago and still looks like a complete mess. Computer parts a bit everywhere. Opened up computers on tables and boxes all over the floor.
- The customer service was horrible, I had to wait there 45 minutes for the employee to get my computer parts, even though i called in advance
- There is a very limited amount of products we can choose from. Only 3 AMD processors which are all unavailable. Memory was also very limited. Only few cases available. There is no way for you to come up with your own designs as the products are very limited, they change everything for you.
- Prices are way too expensive, you must make at least 5000 RS profit on each component, where else, we Pelican Technology will offer the same parts for much less
- When I called to order parts, i was bounced back and forward to different employees making me have to explain myself over and over again
- When walking in, no one tries to help you, all the employees chatting among themselves, making it hard to have a conversation with the employees
- I was hoping I could place orders for components not on the website, but when i asked they said it will be very expensive and take 1 to 2 weeks. At Pelican technology, you need a specific part and in less than a week you will get it for a very reasonable price.
- Only one already made computer on the website. I was hoping for more to see different designs
- While I was at the shop, the employee i talked to on the phone and in person at the shop decides to take a coffee break and makes me wait another 30 minutes
- I ordered my graphic card in advance since they didn't have it in stock. They told me to collect graphic card by the next Saturday. I call on that Saturday and they start telling me I haven't ordered the part. Was kept on the phone explaining to them for about 15 minutes before they passed it on to the manager and told me to come back on Tuesday

Redline has the most skillful and caring technical staff(Dinoj & Mahesh) I've ever seen here in SL. By looking at ur video Redline is way ahead of u. Anyway Good Luck for the future!

you came telling that you're from Overseas college and you need a PC for a project in school and *blah* *blah* and one of our directors helped you as much as he could to sort you out the best PC you can get.
You came today and collected a Sapphire R9 270. I'm telling this before you ship this from your so called company in UK. :D

plus learn to build a PC in a proper way and to treat a PC in a way it's deserved to be treated. hate to see a PC built in this manner.

Hi Ifane,

My name is Sabreen and I'm both one of the founders and owners of Redline Technologies. So when one of my customers (yes, you are a customer of ours first and foremost) has something to say about the company that I helped build from scratch, I'm entitled to sit up and listen

Thank you for taking the time to bring up your points and I feel some of them are valid while most of them aren't. So let me systematically break it down for you:

That is not how quality control works Ifane :) A product you buy off the shelf is not like an assembled PC that needs to be checked by itself. The quality control has already been done by the respective manufacturer in their factory before that product reaches our shelves. Trust me when I say nobody wants us breaking open their products and testing them when they come to the store to buy them with their fresh packaging. I know you're new to this but in time you'll realize that this is how things work and is standard practice everywhere in the world.

After wh The Pelican Technology employee then asked what the return policy was and Redline told him he had one day. This meant if one of the components was damaged , we would only have one day to return it. The employee which sold the  components gave a 1 day return policy on a Saturday, and if we found a broken part, we would not have been able to return it, because Redline does not work on Sundays. This is unfair and unreasonable to the customer who trust you with your services.
Zer0 has already addressed this. You clearly misunderstood what was communicated to you. He generously offered you a chance to swap your part to a different brand if you chose to, which you'll realize in time, is not an industry norm. We're the only company in Sri Lanka who would even consider offering you such an option :) Of course if there's a fault with the part you may return it at any time during it's warranty period. So please refrain from using terms such as "unfair" and "unreasonable" when we're the kind of company who would bend over backwards for our customers.

Our shop is under construction at the moment, it's plain for everyone to see. I don't like the state the shop is in anymore than you do but a month or two from now, once our store is done up fully, I think you'll rather like the final look of our store :)

I sincerely apologize if you think our customer service was horrible. Honestly, not many people (practically no one) has ever referred to our customer service as "horrible" - because all our customers know that even at our worst, we still have the best customer service of any computer store in Sri Lanka. And we will continue to do so and only improve. As we've grown bigger we've obviously run into some issues with maintaining our quality across the spectrum of our customer base and I'm well aware of this. But on a daily basis, we try our VERY BEST to give the best service possible all of our customers given our limited resources and man power. But thank you for your feedback, it's always appreciated :)

We had a wide range of AMD processors as and when AMD launched Bulldozer about 3 years ago. But since then as we did our research and as we've tested many AMD systems over the years we've come to find that the performance that these processors offered was very poor in comparison to their Intel counterparts. Don't get me wrong, you won't find bigger AMD fanboys than us at Redline but sometimes you have to call a spade a spade. As AMD processors no longer offer a great value proposition (unlike back in the day with their Phenom II chips) we have cut down on bringing them down and instead we choose to stock Intel processors because we believe in giving our customers the very best performance for their hard earned money.

We carry the world's best memory brand - Corsair - why would you want to settle for anything less? there's no need to stock 101 memory brands when you have the best. This isn't the US market where millions of people clamor for variety when it comes to things like memory brands. Once again, you'll learn this in time.

We carry cases from Corsair, Coolermaster, Silverstone and Antec. I would hardly call it "limited". In time you'll realize that you can't stock every single big name in the case industry (though we have most) for a market like Sri Lanka. You have to understand you have to pick the best models and specialize. You probably wouldn't understand this now as a consumer, but in time you will if you ever choose to enter this market as a retailer :)

That being said, to address your statement that our product portfolio is "very limited", FYI we carry the most number of high-end tech brands in our store than any other company. And this too we did from scratch, when no one else in Sri Lanka was willing to. We did this for YOU, our customers because we have been in the same position ourselves in the past and because we started Redline to make a difference, which I personally believe we have. True, we have a way to go before we're exactly where we want to be but you won't find a company or group of individuals who work harder than us to make this a reality so people like YOU can benefit. So forgive me if I take offense to your derogatory comments towards my business.

I absolutely LOVE how you think we keep Rs.5000 on all of our components! It's truly cute that you think this and just goes to show how inexperienced you are in retail matters. If our profit margins were that great, I guarantee you we'd all be driving around in Lambo's and Ferrari's and if you knew how any of us lived our lives, you'll know that that isn't the case. We started Redline with the intention of offering the latest tech at prices as close to their actual MSRP as possible. That's always been our motto and you'll actually find that a lot of products are either on par, sometimes better or worst case scenario not that far off their actual international MSRPS's.

Just to point something out, our prices are for the most part, across the board equal to or better than prices in places like Australia or the UK. And just because we aren't able to match US prices on everything doesn't mean we're overpriced - quite on the contrary. Do you know our country has tax on computer items? Do you know there are freight charges involved? Do you know the US gets preferential pricing on a lot of products because their PC market is a 100 to a 1000 times larger than ours? You wouldn't because you're new to this. In time you'll learn but till then I would appreciate it if you could drop your largely exaggerated and accusatory remarks on matters you clearly know nothing about.

I personally apologize for this. If the service was indeed this bad, there's no excuse and I'll look into making sure this never happens again. But after speaking with my employees, I believe your accusations are largely exaggerated (as they'll point out to you) and even if they weren't, I can guarantee it's not an indicator of our service standards, which for the most part is of a very high standard we hold ourselves to.

I'm glad you brought this up, I think you'll be quite please with what we'll be introducing over the next month :)

In closing I'd like to point out that I'm not against Pelican Technologies in anyway. In fact I love the initiative you've taken and I always respect entrepreneurs who come up with new products and services. I wish you and your company nothing but the best and if you actually manage to pull off what you set off to do, I'd welcome the competition and would personally love to see what you have to offer. After all, if my partner Zaffran and I had never chosen to think outside the box and start Redline when no one else wanted to approach this field, we wouldn't be where we are today!

Finally, where you source your products and how you go about your business is up to you, but I did take offense and found it very tasteless as to how you purchased a system from us and then passed it off as your own in that Youtube video on your Facebook page. Never take credit for other people's hard work, especially if you're going to point out their flaws and always be a honest with your customers. That's the only piece of advice I'd like to give you and hopefully in the future you'll be a little more tactful when it comes to your posts and accusations.

Plus the graphics card was for the same build as the video and you should know that if you actually sold my client the computer
