As more people eventually get fibre, are the speeds going to drop and pings get higher?

From a business perspective I think that's highly unlikely, prices for fibre will go up and SLT will only cater for those who can afford it, to make sure they as a company will not be faced with a situation where they cannot cope with the demand for fast speeds. Its a simple case of demand and supply. Besides if SLT starts giving slower speeds than what is promised you can probably sue them

Guys apart from the bandwidth increase is there any improvements in the ping? I'm honestly not interested in speed since I rarely download stuff from my slt line but gaming ping is important. Anyone playing cs go or bf4 with fiber?

Hmmmm...Dialog do this with 4G though - saturate the bandwidth and end up providing crawler speeds. What's SLT's minimum contractually permitted speed?

Its on there Terms and Services, last i checked for the normal connection was 6-8mbps, not sure for Fibre, it seems to vary.

Got SLT Fibre. Speeds are good. DOTA2 ping is at 50-59 so can't complain.

Planning to Get fiber, Dialog 4G has gone to dogs now, worked fine for first 6 months, its the 8th month now and i rarely get speeds over 4 mbps even with 4 bars of signal, called the hotline, they claim i'm very close to a 4g tower but still i have very bad speeds. Dialog promised to send a technician over- each time i called, The guy never showed up.
not only this, dialog has gone down in many other perspectives.
this is off topic- after my standing order was cancelled for my mobile connection (automatic payment) they didn't set a credit limit, got a bill for over 16k.

happened to me as well but ooohh i loved how i just flamed CS when i got a ridiculous Dialog 4G promotion call

fiber is going strong for me
call and ask to senda guy over before u buy fibre as they have to install a pole in some cases and if u cant u might be screwed if u did pay for it
