Guys I got myself a galaxy tab 3 8.0 which is a complete beauty but it cost me 75k , when I looked up the prices online it was as low as 300 USD. Can someone tell me the reason for this MASSIVE price difference?  Was it a complete waste to go for this tab?

Are you aware about the one with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS this is pretty cheap. I guess this made the impact for price difference.

ok so i got the T311 , for 75k is it an acceptable price here

the T311's standard price seem to be around 55k, so a 20k increase in the local market . wow

I guess obviously it would be expensive if you buy in the Samsung Store.

Price depends on warranty offered as well. (# of years)

Maybe the Tab 3 is new to Sri Lanka the prices are still high.
I got Samsung Note 8.0 you could have gone for this, in contrast still got better specs.

I bought it for 67.5k (2Yrs) from SKY TELECOM SERVICES (PVT) LTD, Bambalapitiya
Now market price around 64k

I know places you can even buy for 55k with no warranty

Anyway now that you have made your purchase I suggest don't underestimate yourself. You could have searched more in the first place.

wow! i just looked up the specs and the note beats the tab 3 hands down, i cant believe i spent 10k more on a lesser device! oh well..at least i'll learn from this thanks for ur replies

You should have researched properly on pricing and specs. Plus the Note 8.0 has the S Pen
