Is this Antec VP450? 6870 and 7870 ask for a 500w  or greater psu Can this handle those cards on full load without reducing cards lifespan?I'll be using a 2nd vga probably without any warranty.So I'm planing to use a good enough psu nd use it for another 1-2 yrs If im lucky enough

If you are planning to SLI or Crossfire then go with 500 or 550W.

But a Good 80+ certified will cost you more than 10K.

Well the Answer is Yes, Provided its a Genuine 550W. 80+ certification has nothing to do with it. Certification is for the product quality. Also better make sure its genuine. Which you may not be able to do alone.

yes it's enough for a 470GTX. anywas u alrdy hv a gtx470? if not dont buy one. get a gtx660 instd, it use much less power and performs faster than the 470
