Hello people! There's an unusual usage of my GPU and because of this the temperature rises to about 65 degrees of Celsius with the fan speed at about 55%. This is when the system is idle, idle in the desktop. I have not yet tried playing a game in this condition because I fear that the card might overheat. The usage is about 80-90% while on idle! Usually the temperature (when idle) is 35-37 degree celsius and usage is far far low than this. Can someone please tell me what can I do about this issue?I have a Gigabyte GTX 550 Ti and i'm running Windows 8 Pro.
I got a cpu 100% and a gpu 90% usage problem after i installed warfighter!! the wierd things was that everything goes back to normal as soon as I open task manager!!! I had to format the whole computer to get rid of the promblem!!!
Did this occurred suddenly or after you did something, like a new game or a app ??
Guys, Thanks for replying.I'v noticed the following:The GPU usage is extremely high (above 90%) when using Chrome and the temperature rises due to this. But when I close everything and idle on desktop, it lowers to 5-10% and the temperature drops, but i never get my usual idle temperature which was 35-38 degree C.Only thing I did was update windows 8. Then after, I went for my dinner and came back and saw the insane temp. Should reinstalling graphics drivers fix this prob?
