Monitor turns off

Hiya, hopefully someone can help me - over the last few days my monitor keeps losing power and I have to unplug it for a while (20 mins or so) then plug it back in for it to work. This happens as soon as i start the pc. Thanks in advance :)

Mmm i think its a power relay issue, how old is your monitor and whats the brand ?

does the monitor looses power completely or the screen goes off while the power LED is still blinking/ON ... and does this happen often or only when the PC Starts up? and after that it works fine???

The monitor is like 4 years old and its LG w2252TQ. after turning the pc on monitor gets power but after 1 second it turns off, no power LED and it doesn't turn on again what i did was completely disconnected the power for some time and then hooked it back and it worked. but again as soon after the machine is switched on the power goes off. Then again i disconnected the cables, switched back and the power there. I turned off the monitor, switched the pc on and after i heard the logging sound i switched the monitor back on and it works normally afterwards. any ideas :S
